The Mind's Eye by Oliver Sacks. I loved his Musicophiia; but this one didn't hold my interest. Just skimmed through and didn't finish it. Make no mistake, Oliver Sacks like always gives a literal meaning to term "different" perspective.
Btw. Carl Zimmer's last year column - Look Deep Into the Mind's Eye was one of the best of the year.
