On Greying
After this long week, today I was getting ready for our walk in the woods with Max and for the first time I noticed a patch of greying hair on his chin. No need to tell, the Ape in me got anxious and the Homosapien trying to counter it with cognitive euphemisms. Ted Kerasote in Merle's Door draws an analogy to ballon mortgage and exposes our urge to embrace hedonism to avoid those thoughts. On cursory glance it sounds precise but there is something big hidden inside it exactly like a ballon mortgage. It's simply not a remedy since eventuality is eventual. "Anxious of greying" never has been in the vicinity of Max's thoughts, what makes him special is tranquil elegance to "Grey the Anxiety". No wonder, I long to live his cognitive life for just one day, to assimilate a thing or two instead of pondering on various tedious hypothesis.
