Walking with Max

In the past four years we have walked so much that Forest Gump will probably look up to us. The thing is our life stayed the same ever since we started walking. It's surreal. It feels like the whole world is revolving around us and we have been standing still in time. We have seen:
  • New puppies come
  • Old dogs dissipate slowly and disappear
  • People disappear, only to later hear about their demise
  • Toddlers become boys and girls
  • Boys and gals become teenagers
  • Kids stepping into college with million dreams
  • Kids finishing college stepping into the world alone
  • People get married
  • Women disappear, only to come back months later with their babies
  • Neighbors move in
  • Neighbors move out
  • Neighbors go on vacation
  • Families celebrate thanksgiving and holiday season.
  • Zillion parties in the club house
  • Garage sales
  • Seasons change
  • Hours turn into days, days turn into months and months turn into years
and much more. But we remained the same. Walk everyday the same route, say hello to familiar and new faces. It's mundanity to the core, same life everyday. We can now read in people's faces that they even stopped wondering about our same routine. We have become like a sun, just a part of their everyday routine. But I am glad, I have Max with me in this phase of life. I would not be here to write this post without him. I so grateful for that and more . May be it's the same routine and it does hurt. But at-least we can see life change all around us. There is pleasure in seeing others happy and above all Max is happy.
