Al-Qaida Attempted Dog Bombs

"Two years ago, terrorists in Iraq tried to stitch bombs inside dogs and put them on a U.S.-bound plane, the French daily Le Figaro reported, according to the New York Post. It's not uncommon for dogs to be taken from Iraq to the United States, either by rescue organizations or Americans who ended up adopting one of the many stray dogs in Baghdad. But the bombs weren't stitched properly, so the dogs died before they ever made it onto the plane."
