Great Expectations!

Laws, technology, politics et al., are not to even means to an end. They are just systems used to subside the paramount question of incapacity of humans to change to their minds and live inside their self-centered lives.

Whatever is happening now in this country is nothing but the unlearned lessons the ruins of thousands of lost civilizations taught us. If this is not the epitome of the myth of moral progress then I am not sure what else could be. This is nothing new and nothing to be surprised but that doesn't make it less important. The most important lesson to learn is to stop deluding ourselves and see reality as it is.

To be clear, the issue is not the people who are abusing power. The issue is those millions who are silently smirking without any kind of guilt for electing monsters and applauding what is happening. They will never show their faces expect - to vote with their money, invite propagandistic cables news idiots into their living room every day, have no sense gratitude nor humility,  and elect criminals in the name of liberty. They are the real virus to society.

There is something fundamentally wrong with our wirings. That has to be fixed before fixing some abstract concepts politics, law, economics, and other subjective bullshit. And for god sake, I hope these creatures don't start to dwell on other planets or stars before this wiring is fixed. Last time I checked, Smallpox wasn't eradicated by drinking more beer, watching the news, nor by praying.
There is no such thing as progress, that is, of things getting better: science and technology may improve, but the human-animal will not; purpose does not exist independent of human construction, history and civilizations have no grand plan, no superior march towards glorious progress, nor can that purpose be a moral redemption of mankind .
Straw Dogs: Thoughts on Humans and Other Animals by John Gray
And here I am hoping humans would someday reflect on the brutality they unleash on other animals. Not sure who is the fool here.

I am writing this because hundreds of humans recorded these dissonances before my time and I think, it's my obligation to do so for a future kid to pass on the torch. Precisely that is the reason this blog is still alive even though I died with Max. If not anything, I owe this much to Max.
