Link from Andrew on Happiness:
"The research finds that the meaning of happiness shifts as people age: Whereas younger people are more likely to associate happiness with excitement, older people are more likely to associate happiness with feeling peaceful—a change driven by increasing feelings of connectedness (to others and to the present moment) as one ages."
I think this is not entirely true. Age is very relative, 70 or may be 80 is considered old here in the west and 60 or may be even 50 is considered old in the east. And we all know wisdom = older age is not entirely true either. I don't see a point in feeling peaceful after one gets incapacitated which is basically forced into peace.
