Victim of Hatred Propaganda via Cable News

The constant of spewing of hatred backed by millions of dollars in paycheck and make-up for middle-aged men = assassinations. I don't know if there is direct evidence linking to cable news to today's shooting but the rhetoric on TV has the power to turn someone placid into a killer. Sooner we come in terms with it better it is for this country. We have power, its called the remote control. Switch the damn TV (and Radio) off and listen to some music.
Gabrielle  Giffords took a strong stand against the Arizona anti-immigration bill, and though we don't yet know the motivation of the young man who did the shooting, it's likely that the heated emotions aroused in the state over the immigration issue may have played a role. 

On a personal note, Giffords is one of the smartest, nicest and down-to-earth people I've ever encountered in the political world, a truly committed public servant with a great future. What a terrible irony that her husband can go up into space in a capsule and return home safely but his wife’s safety can’t be assured outside a Safeway supermarket.
