Checklists to save some lives - Atul Gawande

Working with help of technology nudges us to be obsessed with tabulation, synchronization et al which unconsciously drives us to look for referential integrity, synthesize the abstractions, connecting the dots and more in unlikely places. Some times it does lead to endless loops but yet that remains one of the main strengths of ones thinking. Given such a complex integrated evolving phenomena unleashed by the technology (leave alone the eternal complexity of us, nature and universe), it should be a no brainer to follow some mundane checklists by the doctors to save lives (wish it was that easy to override this human dissonance).
